How does our point system work?

Each tournament requires a
minimum field of 20 anglers or
more to award full points.  For
each event that has less than 20
anglers the maximum points
available are reduced by the same
number of anglers less than 20.

One-day tournaments award 200
points on a 1 point decreasing
scale: 1st Place 200 points, 2nd
Place 199 points, etc. For a field
of 18 anglers the maximum points
awarded are 198:  1st Place 198,
2nd Place 197, 3rd Place 196, etc.
Anglers failing to weigh in a fish in
one-day events will receive 50
points.

Two-day tournaments award 400
points on a 2 point decreasing
scale: 1st Place 400 points, 2nd
Place 398 points,  etc.  If the event
starts with 17 anglers then the
max points available are 394; 1st
Place 394, 2nd Place 392, 3rd
Place 390, etc.   Anglers failing to
weigh in a fish in the two-day
event will receive 75 points.

You may fish as many one-day
and two-day tournaments as you
wish, in any division in Region 4,
but only your BEST 4 one-day
tournaments + your BEST two-day
tournament count toward your
regional & national standings.
This
allows all anglers the opportunity
to put a bad tournament behind
them. Anglers must have fished at
least four (4) one-day
tournaments to be eligible to
compete in any two-day divisional
tournament.

A PERFECT score is 1200 points:
4 one-day tournaments at 200
points each = 800 points, plus 1
two-day tournament at 400 points
= 1200 points.

After the two-day Divisional
tournaments, the anglers finishing
in the top 250 in their Region will
advance to a Regional
Championship.  From this
Regional Championship the top 50
will advance to the National
Championship.

All anglers fishing Division 124 are
eligible to compete for our Angler
of the Year.  We will use the same
scoring system counting only your
4 best one-day and the two-day
event to determine end of season
points standings.
While ABA
anglers can fish in as many
Divisions as they want nation wide,
only Division 124 events will count
toward the Division 124 Angler of
the Year.  All anglers fishing
Division 124 events will receive 5
bonus points per event that count
only toward  the Division 124
Angler of the Year competition.

These extra 5 points per event
fished
do not count toward
your National ABA point totals
,
they only count toward the
Division 124 Angler of the Year
points.
